When couples are considering hiring a wedding photographer, they often have a range of questions to ensure they make an informed choice. Here are some of the most common questions that I hear.
My style is mainly candid and natural. Most of my time with you is spent blending in and letting the day go at its own pace. Time is set aside to get family shots and a quick portrait session but the emphasis displaced on keeping you at the party.
Yes, I make myself available over Zoom anytime in the lead up to the wedding. Often couples have a series of quick questions that they need answered. About a week before the wedding we have a full meeting to go through the day in finer details and put in a photo plan in place.
Sure, you will find a selection of my work on my website. Schedule a call to review my extensive collection.
I try to keep the packages simple. My coverage starts 3 hours before the start of the ceremony right up until dinner call. There is an option to keep me for the evening where I cover speeches, cake cutting, golden hour portraits and dancing. I offer a choice of wedding albums too.
In the unlikely event that I cannot cover the wedding I have a buddy system with a number of fellow professional photographers that I can call on to step in and take my place. I would never leave you stranded and make you there was a suitable replacement.
On average, you receive about 800 if I stay until dinner call and about 1400 if I stay for the entire evening.
All travel fees are included. For overseas weddings I build it into the pricing.
Yes, I offer an industry standard wedding contract that outlines what you can expect from me.
Yes, I have full public liability and indemnity insurance.
I always carry a portable studio lighting kit with me in case I need it. In general, my equipment can handle most low-light situations.
Depending on the time of year, in low season it is a matter of days but in the middle of summer it could be a week. I always try to get a sneak peek back as soon as possible.
Yes! I encourage you to be a part of the planning and often refer to it as a collaboration. Feel free to steer me as required. I always default back to the candid shots.
I have been photographing weddings for ____ years and have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of wedding styles and sizes. This experience has equipped me to handle a diverse range of situations and I'm eager to adapt to the unique aspects of your special day.
Hopefully it is a simple matter of moving the date in our diaries.
Yes I do. I think it is important for the story to cover both sides. I often start a little earlier than usual to cover any distance between the bride and groom prep. But I think it's important and I go to great lengths to make sure I visit both of you on the morning of the wedding.
